About our instructor

Amy Miller, president of AMM Communications Coach and AMM Consulting, is a highly motivated, high energy, well-rounded senior level public affairs professional that has a reputation for developing and implementing strategies that help build and enhance relationships and communicate key messages. A lifelong New Mexican with more than 25 years of experience in the business and nonprofit world in management level positions, Amy provides her expertise to organizations on strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and communications management.

Throughout her career, Amy served as a public speaker, a company spokesperson, and a communications coach to help inspire growth and development for many individuals, businesses and organizations. In recent years, she has used these skills to help many of her consulting clients with their speaking and communications skills for keynote speeches, public meetings, legislative committees, professional presentations, employee and board communications, and media and job interviews. 

Amy is a Certified World-Class Speaking Coach and continues to hold her national accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America. She serves as a district director for District 23 of Toastmasters International and is an officer of two local Toastmasters clubs.

Amy has participated in leadership development programs and held leadership positions in various organizations. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of New Mexico and is a graduate of Leadership Albuquerque and Leadership New Mexico.

Amy was named an Albuquerque Business Journal Woman of Influence in 2023 and recently received the Hirst Vista Award for lifetime achievement in communications work from NMPRSA.
