Sharon Brooks – Albuquerque Business First
Sharon Brooks is the editor-in-chief of Albuquerque Business First where she guides the strategic direction of ABF’s digital and print editorial coverage. Prior to joining Business First, Brooks worked as the managing editor at Business First’s sister publication the San Antonio Business Journal. Before joining American City Business Journals, she worked at The Examiner in Beaumont, Texas, and the Southeast Texas Business Journal. She has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Lamar University and a certification in grant writing from the Southeast Texas Educational Development Foundation.

Faith Egbuonu – KOAT TV
Faith Egbuonu is a Los Angeleno originally from Nigeria. She joined the KOAT Action 7 News team as a reporter in August 2022. Prior to KOAT-TV, Faith served as a news reporter and multimedia journalist in Southeast New Mexico. During her time there, she covered stories throughout the entire region— both local and national.

Furthermore, she served as a fill-in host and correspondent for Good Day New Mexico. Faith got her start in television as a camera operator. Then, was later promoted to floor director where she directed the morning and afternoon newscasts. She graduated with a degree in Journalism and minor in Marketing from California State University Dominguez Hills. Faith believes these are two key components in the power of journalism, integrity and fairness. She is grateful to share stories of the New Mexico community.

Megan Kamerick – KUNM
Megan has been a journalist for 25 years and worked at business weeklies in San Antonio, New Orleans and Albuquerque. She first came to KUNM as a phone volunteer on the pledge drive in 2005. That led to volunteering on Women’s Focus, Weekend Edition and the Global Music Show. She was then hired as Morning Edition host in 2015, then the All Things Considered host in 2018. Megan was hired as News Director in 2021.

Prior to radio, Megan spent many years in print and online journalism and she moved into television with New Mexico PBS in 2012 where she produced “Public Square” and “New Mexico in Focus.” Megan also produced two podcasts with NMPBS, New Mexico Women and the Vote and Growing Forward: Cannabis and New Mexico, which she co-hosts with Andy Lyman of New Mexico Political Report and which is in its third season. Megan has produced stories for National Public Radio, Latino USA, Capital & Main and Marketplace. She’s passionate about getting women’s voices into media and is the former president of the Journalism & Women Symposium. Her TED talk on women and media has more than 350,000 views. She’s the treasurer for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Rio Grande Chapter. In the spare time she manages to scrape together she goes hiking with her husband, seeks out cool cultural happenings, goes to movies and travels.

Natalie Robbins - Albuquerque Journal
Natalie Robbins covers education for the Albuquerque Journal. Prior to moving to New Mexico, she was a solutions reporter for the Tucson Sentinel in her hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Natalie holds a bachelor's degree in creative writing from the University of Arizona and a master's degree in journalism from the City University of New York. Her work has been honored by New Mexico Press Women, the Arizona Press Club, the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, the Institute for Nonprofit News and the Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation.

Lindsay Wood – Nob Hill News
Lindsay Wood was a founding member of Downtown Albuquerque News. She also started Nob Hill News and the North Valley News, which she still runs. Lindsay believes neighborhoods can support local journalists just like they do coffee shops, restaurants and retail. She is trying to create a model that other cities can use to bring journalists back into their communities.
